Pay for Payment for WooCommerce was first released in 2013 by Jörn Lund, published on WordPress.org in 2014, and has been maintained by Karolína Vyskočilová since 2017.

I am an independent WordPress and WooCommerce developer in Prague, Czech Republic, working under the name Kybernaut (opens in a new tab). I build and look after WooCommerce stores for clients, and I write the plugins those stores turned out to need.
Pay for Payment is one of them. Jörn Lund wrote it in 2013 and stopped maintaining it in 2016; I took it over in 2017 because I kept installing it on client stores and wanted it to stay maintained. Since then every line of code and every docs page on this site has been mine. Version 3 is a rewrite — PHP 8, a settings screen built on WooCommerce's own components, and the Pro version that pays for the work on the free one.
The free plugin has been on WordPress.org for 12 years, runs on more than 10,000 stores, and is rated 4.7 from 71 reviews as of 31 August 2026. It stays free, whatever Pro does.
How to reach me
Support says where a message should go by what it is about; suggest a feature is the public tracker. Sales are handled by Freemius as Merchant of Record — the legal page has the detail.
